The District provides garbage collection, disposal and recycling services through a franchise agreement with GreenWaste Recovery (GWR). The mandatory basic residential services include a 32-gallon container for garbage, a 65-gallon container for mixed recyclables and a 95-gallon container for yard waste. The fees for the basic residential services are collected for the District by the Monterey County on the property tax bills. Residents can request additional services or larger size containers as well as pickup and return of containers at a location on their property by contacting GWR at (831) 920-6707. The fees for commercial and additional residential services are billed and collected directly by GWR.
