The Pebble Beach Community Services District is seeking someone with experience and abilities to do basic and skilled maintenance work for two open positions in the Maintenance Department: Maintenance Worker I or II and Maintenance Technician.

Maintenance Worker I or II

$5,048 – $7,476 per month

Job Description: Maintenance Worker I or II

Maintenance Worker I or II are entry level and journey level positions responsible for cleaning and maintaining wastewater collection lines and assisting in maintenance of pumping facilities, machinery and equipment.

Minimum qualifications: No previous knowledge or experience of sewer collection or recycled water distribution systems is required for Maintenance Worker I. Any combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. Maintenance Worker II requires two years of related experience. A California Class B Commercial Driver’s License and certain professional certifications must be achieved within specified periods after the hiring date.


Maintenance Technician

$7,493 – $9,108 per month

Job Description: Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician position includes having all of the skills of a Maintenance Worker II. A Maintenance Technician performs the most highly skilled and complex work required at a wide variety of tasks associated with the operation, maintenance and repair of the District’s nine pump stations in its wastewater collection and recycled water distribution systems.

Minimum qualifications: Any combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A California Class B Commercial Driver’s License and certain acceptable professional certifications are required at the hiring date.
